All movie reviews need the mindset? IS that presupposing your mindset was pitch perfect for this movie? The car crash is ridiculous. It’a manipulative and cheap and have you ever seen an ambulance involved in a massive car accident with a dump truck? It was a stupid idea, executed horribly, and the movie was a joke.

Are you sure you’re not pandering to the unspecified reason it was booed at Cannes? I thought this movie was quite compelling and it made me think about life. The crash scene was both surprising and partly predictable, but only funny if you were stoned. The whole point was hope followed by despair (the very sort of thing that would drive someone to suicide).

All movie reviews need to include the full mindset of the reviewer for context. You can be having a weird or funny day in general and it will color your mood. Some people also just can’t handle somber themes so they overreact in the opposite direction.
