This dying industry!
Sometimes it should be easy. Art is often subjective. Some folks like things that the general population hates. We all have guilty pleasures. The positive review for this book, along with the many other positive reviews it’s received elsewhere, confirms that this industry is dead and has taken true comic journalism and honest reviews, to the grave with it.
IDW has spit all over its fans the last few years while reviewers suck up to these publishers to get their own work published in exchange for positive reviews. Or maybe they’re just wanting free comics I dunno but how else to explain this dumpster fire of a comic!
This is GI JOE!!!! Have you no dignity IDW? Have you no eyes MANUEL GOMEZ?
This comic is beyond amateurish! This is horrendous and it’s one more slap in the face to fans of GI JOE from IDW!
Mr Gomez, you should be ashamed! I would trust your reviews & opinions much more if you simply said you were friends with the creator and you wanted folks to check it out.
How anyone with any love for this medium can sit there and give a positive review is appalling! This industry will not survive by producing CRAP and calling it GOLD! THIS ONLY PERPETUATES MORE CRAP THAT ATTRACTS NO NEW READERS NOR BRINGS BACK OLD ONES! This is an industry of PARTICIPATION TROPHIES. When the most prestigious awards go to the likes of SQUIRREL GIRL it’s not too surprising to see garbage like this. This medium needs to die so it can start anew and the makers of this GI JOE comic and this reviewer can go back to McDonalds for work.
