You’re correct, the formatting used by Greg Capullo is genius! I couldn’t describe it any better than the way you did in this article.
I did find the ending with Robin a bit cheesy. I very much understand the impact of Robins reaction and why Snyder decided so, but reading current series “batman and robin”, the reaction seems out of character. I don’t think he’d ever allow himself to seem so vulnerable.
But nit-picking aside, this issue was an INCREDIBLE read!
