I actually thought that the first Spider-Man was LESS campy than the second film. I think that despite the amazing spider-man two wasn’t as bad as people think. Was it all over the place? Yes, but only lik, 26% was for no reason at all. I agree with your placement of the amazing spider-man though. So good job more or less.

I’d put ASM2 behind the first Spider-Man. ASM2 was just a complete mess. Personally, my problems laid with Electro, who mostly felt like Jim Carrey’s Riddler. I thought Green Goblin wasn’t bad, although his motivations were weak and dumb. At the end of the day, ASM2 was a mixture of two movies, one fantastic and one an absolute corporate disaster. The fact that there’s still something to like makes it better than Spider-Man 3, but the bad far outweighs the rest of the Spider-Man movies.

I loved Garfield’s interpretation of the character, but I also love the new Spidey we got in Civil War.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is my most anticipated film of 2017.

Are you an IDIOT? Andrew Garfield in the Amazing Spider-Man as the BEST Spidey film? You CLEARLY don’t get Spider-Man as a character. Nobody, but NOBODY thinks that was the best Spidey film. C’mon, it was the series that toppled it from Sony and brought the character to the MCU so we can FINALLY see their interpretation, thank God!

Interesting analysis, Aric. I’d have to agree with you on those points, although #3 and #4 could be switched in each other’s place. ASM 1 does a great job with Spidey, especially Garfield’s portrayal. Much closer to the spirt of the comic. Maguire did a fine job with the Raimi films, but he didn’t get to show much wisecracking.
