A few different sources give several reasons but some of them share the same thing. It&#039;s that neither Marvel or DC put as much effort to get characters or storylines on the timeline out to the public.
I don&#039;t just mean origin stories like Batman: Year One/Zero, Legend of Wonder Woman, or even the Spider-Man stories from the Ditko days in book stores or general retailers. I mean the best collections on a timeline; like no retailers had Eternals comics like the Neil Gaiman or Kieron Gillen runs which would&#039;ve been perfect to capitalize on the movie. Also there are no adaptations that&#039;re readily available until recently with Disney+ and HBOMax. All of this would make progression of character just a little easier but the mainstream publishers just aren&#039;t trying.]]></description>
