I always hated Kingdom Come and the fanboys who lionize it for that reason. The essence of the thing is toxic ideas and values, and the elements poison places you transplant them to. It doesn't get much clearer than Superman + Wonder Woman, along with Batman having a son by Talia al Ghul, signature elements of how the present DCU fails to understand the nature of the source material, the poison of the source material, and how bringing its elements into real continuity undermines the DCU on a cellular level.

For the same reason, I'm no fan of the Trinity. It artificially inflated WW to a standing she never really had the popularity to achieve on her own. It's all smoke and mirrors, she's a big deal because DC says she is, but when you scratch the surface, there's just nothing there. You want a female character to be a dominant force on the team, promote one who is genuinely popular and takes off naturally on her own star power.
