TV’s Agent Carter is returning…sort of as Hayley Atwell, who made a memorable run as Peggy Carter for the Marvel Cinematic Universe from Captain America: The First Avenger to her two-year TV-run on ABC as the title character.

Atwell, who stars in Conviction on the same network, is reprising her role for the animated show Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars for Disney XD.  While the animated show is not canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it does offer fans a thank you and perhaps a window for future projects despite her character’s ultimate fate in Captain America: Civil War.

In Atwell’s episode, Howard Stark and Peggy Carter meet with future generations in Iron Man and Captain America to stop Kang the Conqueror.

This isn’t the first time live action TV characters from the MCU made animated appearance. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. popular scientists Jemma Simmons and Leo Fitz made an appearance on Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6 on March 8 episode “Bouncing Back” with Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker reprising their roles, respectively.

  1. Maybe it’s a more of a “thank you for supporting the character” and “we’re going to do everything we can to keep the relevant in the minds of fans so she can make some return to live action TV.”

A “thank you”??!!….Whaaat?? Seriously, what is wrong with all of you in the media with this cartoon Peggy? This is nothing more than bread crumbs!

Do you know what an actual “Thank you!” looks like? It looks a lot like a final death scene in Captain America for one of the most iconic, important, and beloved characters in the MCU….Oh, wait…That didn’t happen!
It looks a lot like Season 3 of Agent Carter….Um…No!
    It looks a lot like a miniseries….Um…No!
    It looks a lot like a movie….Um….No!
It looks a lot like Agent Carter on Hulu (Co-Owned by Disney)….Um….No!

A cartoon in one episode on a channel few have access to…
    Oh, PLEASE!
