I'm not one of those who are enraged about the universes colliding. I have no issue with it and am enjoying pretty much everything I have been reading since Rebirth started. I am extremely happy with what they have done to restore Superman. Now, for me, the ultimate icing on an excellent cake would be to bring back the real Captain Marvel. That was one of DCs biggest mistakes in recent years, taking a dump on decades of history just because they figured "most people call him Shazam anyway."

Well, not really, The people who think his name is Shazam are people who don't really know or love the character, so who cares what they think? They didn't rename Superman "Action" just because that's the title of his book. Do the right thing, DC. Change him back to Captain Marvel (and fix your portrayal of him.).

Extremely excited. Now I'm really wishing November would hurry up and get here since we have this story & the Justice League movie coming out in the same month.

I also personally consider Geoff Johns a better writer than Grant Morrison myself. Morrison is overrated in my opinion. His scripts are too complicated; even downright disorienting at times with all of the metaphysical principles he overly relies upon. Johns knows how to nail the core qualities of a character and emphasize them within a story. Morrison brings in too many C-list characters no one knows anything about and gives them inflated roles in his stories. I got irritated when you compared Johns to Morrison in a way that suggests Morrison is superior, especially since Grant always seems to be the favorite of the snoody-art-critic-type of comic reader, yet I've still not found an overarching literary achievement from him to warrant such high praise.
