Reverse Flash only made him get his powers sooner in season one so he could get him home to the future. He would still be a hero with two loving parents to raise him, as evidenced by the fact that his dads doppleganger is a hero.. That death didn’t make him The Flash. Also, I think they are setting up Flashpoint Paradox storyline, where some unintended consequence of that action changes everything, which will shake up the show and be cool.
