‘Doctor Strange’: Benedict Cumberbatch Confirms Marvel Character For ‘Infinity War’?

Doctor Strange and Marvel Comics’ Phrase three plans are underway, but what current part of Marvel Cinematic Universe the magical doctor would be part of has not been answered, until Benedict Cumberbatch seemingly dropped that news in a recent interview.

Cinemablend reports that Cumberbatch was discussing the “difficulty” of “aligning his schedule” with the other Avengers, when he had this to say.

“To get us all together will be quite something. That’s why this character is being introduced, to open up the next chapter. So watch this space to see how that unfolds.”

Doctor Strange entering the Avengers would certainly make an impact, and his ties to Thanos’ search for the Infinity stones makes sense for him appear. Benedict Cumberbatch’s comment stirs the pot, but it sadly does not reveal any definitive answers about Doctor Strange, and his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Doctor Strange To Meet The Avengers In The Next Film?

This is not the first the Doctor Strange/ Marvel Cinematic Universe rumor.

Cinemablend also reported that less substantiated rumors have surfaced to suggest that Doctor Strange will make his first Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance in Thor: Ragarnok.  Benedict Cumberbatch, nor anyone else has added any creedance to that rumor.

Doctor Strange will mark Marvel Comics’ most significant entrance of magic into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, something DC Comics has already touched on in television. However, Constantine did not last.

Justice League Dark will be coming out in animated form this year, and a live-action one is in the works, so there the two comic book giants are still vying for the upper magical hand. Doctor Strange will be released November 4, but Justice League Dark’s first entry is yet unknown.

Who will win the battle for magical dominance in the comic book adaptation world? As of now, that remains the type of knowledge that only one of mystical abilities can decipher.

Will Doctor Strange end up in Avenger: Infinity War? Thor: Ragarnok?
