I don’t really understand what is meant by “monumental achievement” when he became SpiderMan. It’s not like there have never been legacy characters before. Passed on the mantle characters. Miles might be popular in social media, but the sales figures seem to tell a bit of a different story. Monumental achievement in comics should mean what it used to mean, when diverse characters were debuted into comics as original and their own. Every diverse character that Marvel has introduced is only a replacement for a pre-existing one. Sadly, original characters like Storm, Luke Cage, Falcon, etc, have often struggled to maintain popularity on their own. It’s actually a shame that it’s only when the mantle is passed on from from a white male to a character of color that people seem to place them on pedestals and defend them as hard as you seem to be doing now.

Or just scrap that character along with a few other web warriors bc there’s to many spider people. Iron heart, squirrel girl, Amodeas cho, and moon girl are other garbage characters scrap them too. Also moon girl just sounds racist for an African character.

Bendis should bring us a Miles Morales with typical student problems and Marvel should develop the character more adding Parker in some of Miles’ stories like a mentor. (sorry about my english)
