Me too! Personally, I’ve been reading Spidey. It’s a series about Peter when he was still in high school… it’s still set in the ANAD continuity, but it’s still awesome and hilarious. You should check it out if you hope you can restore your faith in Spider-Man.

I enjoyed Spider-Verse, as poorly structured and frustrating it was at points, but I feel like the effects of that story have been more detrimental than beneficial to the Spidey mythos. Web Warriors was an incredibly fun book, and it’s a shame that book sold poorly because that’s where the other Spiders should be. If the quality of each book was up to par, I wouldn’t be complaining about this. It’s undermining Peter Parker as a character, and while that’s been something that’s been going on in the main book for a good while now, it’s feeling oversaturated at this point. It’s a good thing Renew Your Vows and Spider-Man/Deadpool exists, since those are Spidey books that are definitely worth reading. It says a lot when I have to go to another main book and a spin off to get my Spidey fix as opposed to the main book. That supposed Marvel revival coming in the fall cannot come any sooner.

I was done with Spider-Man after One More Day, but I stopped reading Amazing when Peter took his body back from Doc Ock and the character became more like Tony Stark instead of our relatable tough luck hero.
