To commemorate the 1986 release of Aliens the 2016 San Diego Comic Con will play host to a reunion of the actors including director James Cameron, according to Entertainment Weekly. July 18 marks the flick’s release. Keep in mind this was the sequel to the original 1979 Alien.
Actors such as Sigourney Weaver, Bill Paxton, Paul Reiser, Lance Henriksen, Michael Biehn, and the older Carrie Henn who played the orphaned Newt. Even The Walking Dead’s Gale Anne Hurd will be present.
“That should be fun. Get the usual suspects back together.”
Weaver talked about having experienced seeing a screening of Aliens at the Alamo Drafthouse and likened it to a “‘a horrific sing-along’ (in a good way.)”, according to Entertainment Weekly.
“One of my great moments in … life, frankly, was by the time we got to that line, the whole audience yelled it with Ripley.”
Also, in celebration of Aliens’ 30th anniversary, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will be making available the Blu-ray and Digital HD edition on Sept. 13. A new addition of an interview with Cameron will be included.
